Odyssey of the Mind
Congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind winners!
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and world level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.
This year, Berryhill students took home many awards at Odyssey of the Mind Regionals! 5th grade won a Renatra Fusca award. This award is for extreme creativity and is very rarely given out. It's been 4 years since they last gave one. They also took 1st place out of 10 teams! 6th grade took 2nd place in their problem, and 7th grade also took 1st place in their problem. It was an awesome showing for Berryhill!
All of our Berryhill teams are going on to state which will be at Jenks High School on April 2nd. If you are in the area and want to watch any of the teams perform, here is the schedule (each performance is less than 10 min):
